Displaced people still struggling to lead a normal life

Up to 136,000 people remain displaced in Russia more than fifteen years after the begin ning of armed conflict in the republics of the north Caucasus. Hundreds of thousands of people fled their homes as a result of an inter-ethnic conflict in North Ossetia in 1992 and separatist and counter-terrorist conflicts in Chechnya in 1994 and 1999.
