Little international attention has been paid to the tens of thousands of Syrian Arabs displaced from the Golan Heights more than 38 years ago. They left their homes in disputed circumstances during the Six-Day War in 1967, when Israel seized the Golan Heights, a strategic narrow stretch of land overlooking the Jordan Valley and the Sea of Galilee.
