Our new strategy is the roadmap for the work of the Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre (IDMC) over the next 10 years.

Ten years on from the Arab Spring, several countries in the region are in turmoil. What seemed to be hope for a better future has quickly turned into a nightmare for people who have been forced into displacement and exile. In our first report dedicated to the MENA region we take stock of the scale of conflict displacement since the Arab Spring protests broke out. We also examine disaster displacement in the region, something that has been overshadowed by the prevalence of conflict.

This paper is a first step towards bridging the knowledge gap on how men, women and children with disabilities are disproportionately affected in disaster settings.
