Paris Peace Forum

IDMC was one of only 121 organisations worldwide selected to showcase our work providing innovative solutions to global issues at the Paris Peace Forum 11-13 November 2018.

Hosted by President Macron, and attended by over 60 Heads of State and Government, the Paris Peace Forum is an annual platform for global governance projects. This year’s inaugural event commemorated 100 years since the end of World War 1.

Each year, the Peace Forum aims to convene up to 20,000 representatives across politics, economics, academic, media and civil society to advance governance projects in the fields of peace and security, environment, development, new technologies and inclusive economy.

IDMC presented our disaster displacement risk model which enables public actors to anticipate, prevent and build resilience towards displacement associated with natural hazards. IDMC presented the project in the Space for Solutions in front of high level personalities, global governance stakeholders and media, making it a great networking opportunity. Find out more about how the model works and explore the likelihood of future displacement around the world here
