At a side event on 11 February titled Strengthening disaster displacement governance, experts from government, UN and civil society discussed disaster risk governance and ways strengthening it can reduce the risk of displacement due to disasters.

Highlight tools that can support Governments to better address disaster displacement.
Arab governments are encouraged to include disaster displacement in DRR strategies and other relevant strategies.
The need for policy coherence of disaster displacement governance is highlighted.
Arab Governments are aware of existing good practices and tools at their disposal to enhance disaster displacement governance.
