BMZ Virtual Lessons Learned Workshop on Urban Displacement

"Tackling the Root Causes of Displacement, (Re-) integrating Refugees"

This virtual workshop is hosted by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) for programs funded under the Special Initiative “Tackling the Root Causes of Displacement, (Re-) integrating Refugees”. The workshop is part of a series of workshops running since 2016 and serves to identify good practices, discuss challenges, and issue recommendations. The workshops also inform BMZ’s policies and help to set priorities in line with the realities on the ground.

The workshop seeks to convene projects that work in contexts of urban displacement. It will focus on cooperation with local authorities, how to promote inclusive cities & services for refugees and their hosts, and urban development & planning.
