Workshop: Internal displacement in Malawi and the broader Southern Africa region

The Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre (IDMC) and the Initiative for Climate Action and Development (ICAD) are pleased to invite you to an online co-organized workshop to discuss internal displacement in Malawi and in the broader Southern Africa region on Wednesday August 30th. The co-hosted online event will include presentations by IDMC, ICAD, the Department of Disaster Management Affairs (DoDMA) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

The online workshop aims to bring together experts on the topic of internal displacement in Malawi, to better understand how weather events have been impacting the population, how the four organizations have responded to this, and how they work further together to better respond, address, and prevent future displacements in Malawi and the broader Southern Africa region.
