IDMC shares concerns and recommendations on situation of IDPs in South Sudan at Human Rights Council

At the 27th session of the UN Human Rights Council, our Analyst, Melanie Kesmaecker-Wissing, made an oral statement during a panel discussion on the situation of human rights in South Sudan.  She shared IDMC's concern about the difficult situation IDPs in South Sudan are facing with the panelists and the Council, highlighting that IDPs' freedom of movement is not guaranteed, which leads to disruptions of their livelihoods and prevents them from satisfying even their basic needs.
