Applying the Kampala Convention in the context of Zimbabwe

Applying the Kampala Convention in the context of Zimbabwe

IDMC and the NRC Office in Zimbabwe held a workshop in Harare to support the national efforts for the implementation of the Kampala Convention. The workshop gathered some 25 members of relevant ministries, humanitarian agencies, civil society organisations and representatives of displaced communities. The workshop helped to create a shared understanding of internal displacement issues in Zimbabwe, to verify the relevance of the Kampala Convention in addressing displacement in the Zimbabwe context and to report on the main findings of a recent IDMC/NRC study on the legal system of  Zimbabwe.
